"To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand..."
-The Phi Mu Creed
Phi Mu's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and our chapter philanthropy is the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, located right here in Jackson. With our hospital less than five minutes away from us, we have the opportunity to visit frequently and can see exactly where the money we raise goes and how much it helps the children there.
Our major philanthropy event is Casino Night, and last year's Casino Night with Kappa Alpha Fraternity was a huge success. We raised over $15,000 to benefit Blair E. Batson! We are expecting to raise even more with this year's Casino Night at the King Edward Hotel in downtown Jackson on March 28th.
Phi Mu also participated in philanthropic events for other sororities and fraternities. Some of these events include Lambda Chi Alpha's Watermelon Bust, Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Chili Bowl, Chi Omega's Walk-for-a-Wish, and Delta Delta Delta's Delta Underground, among so much more.
Our chapter has been quite successful with our philanthropy work. We're working to strive even harder and raise more for our philanthropy this year!
