Initiation: Congratulations to our new Sisters!
On November 11, 2011, Phi Mu, Chapter Epsilon, was proud to welcome our new sisters into our bond. Our little Phis are now Phi Mus! After initiation, they joined their families and sisters for dinner. It was a wonderful and memorable night for all members. Congratulations to our new sisters! Congratulations to our actives for such a beautiful ceremony! Bid Day
Viva la Phiesta! That was the theme for Bid Day 2011. We welcomed 17 new sisters to Phi Mu. It was an amazing run, and after a delicious fiesta inspired lunch, we went to the Millsaps Majors' first home game to support them and our sisters on the cheerleading and dance teams. There was movie night and dinner later. To finish up the night, we all went to Pump-It-Up and had a blast! Congratulations to our new Phis: Maggie Adams, Lauren Barattini, Lydia Chase, Merrit Corrigan, Elizabeth Doyle, Bailey Duhe', Kendall Fann, Shelby Figueroa, Nicholette Hannah, Ashley Hewlett, Kelsey Ingraham, Karen McWilliams, Morgan Presti, Laura Robinson, Christina Tilton, Maria Vasser, and Taylor Zeigler. Rush 2011
Rush is here! Get excited! We certainly are! In only a few short days, we will be welcoming new wonderful sisters into our chapter. Speaking of which, today we initiated three new sisters--Whitney Murchison, Laura Gray, and Janet Wyeth. Congratulations to our new Phi Mus! Getting back to Rush, tomorrow is Philanthropy Night, and Skit Night is on Thursday. On Friday, we will have Preference Night while Bid Day will be Saturday morning. This is going to be one of the most strenuous but amazing weeks, and we are ready to meet and get some new sisters. Will you step up to the challenge? Will you be a Phi Mu? We hope you will! Rush Workshop 2011
Last weekend we had our summer recruitment or rush workshop. It was fantastic! We spent four days preparing for rush. We practiced and worked so hard--on skits, dogpiling, chanting--you name it! But it will all be well worth it once rush is here! It was great to see everyone after summer break, and we had plenty of fun and time to catch up with all our sisters, too. And we are all excited for the new school year. There are new classes, professors, and students to look forward to, as well as new memories to make and fun to have with our friends and sisters, plus rush! We're ready for Fall Rush 2011. Mysterious Ladybugs?
You may have noticed cute ladybugs in some of the pictures on our website. They are there to keep our disaffiliates' identities a secret. During formal recruitment, we have members from each sorority on campus who are disaffiliated and serve as recruitment counselors to the PMNs (potential new members/rushees). Please don't try to guess who the disaffiliates are, alright? You'll learn soon enough! We look forward to seeing you at Rush 2011! (read more)
Summer News
Since it is currently summer, there is not much going on right now. We have all either gone home or are on vacation if we aren't here taking summer classes or working/doing internships. Summer Recruitment Workshop will be our next event, and it is scheduled to take place Aug. 4-8. It will be amazing, and I know we are all looking forward to getting ready for RUSH 2011! (read more)
Recruitment Workshop
We just finished up with our summer recruitment workshop! Not only were we productive...we had a blast being together after a long summer apart! We already decided to adopt a class at Brown Elementary and discussed new swap themes. We are so excited for school to start and cannot wait to meet all the girls going through rush. We are going to let our love for Phi Mu shine, just like we always do!! (read more)
